This website is hosted with Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When you open the site, the host processes technically necessary access data (see server log files) in order to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in reliable operation under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

A data processing agreement is in place with the host. The servers are located in Germany/the EU.

Every access is automatically recorded in server log files: the page requested, date and time, the volume of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and the (where applicable shortened) IP address. This data serves solely to keep operation secure and free of faults, and is not combined with other data sources. It is deleted or anonymised after 14 days at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

If you use the contact form, the details you enter (name, email address, phone number where given, and your message) are transmitted to our server and delivered from there to me by email via our host's mail system (Hetzner Online GmbH, servers in Germany). To protect against abuse (spam), your IP address is processed briefly (in memory only and for a few minutes) to limit how often messages can be sent; it is not stored permanently and is not linked to your message.

You can also reach me directly by email or phone at any time.

I process your details solely in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention periods prevent deletion.

This website offers a chat that answers questions about my services. Using it is voluntary; as long as you do not use the chat, no chat data is processed.

When you ask a question, it is transmitted together with matching excerpts from this website's content to the Claude API operated by Anthropic PBC (USA) in order to be answered. According to Anthropic, data submitted through the API is not used to train its models; the transfer takes place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries about my services).

Chat histories are not stored on my server. The conversation exists solely in the browser on your device and is deleted when you close the tab. To protect against abuse, your IP address is processed briefly (in memory only) to limit how often requests can be made; it is not stored permanently and is not linked to your questions.

If you request an appointment through the chat, the details you provide for that purpose (name, email address, preferred date, subject) are sent to me by email and used solely to arrange the appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, at your request). These details are part of the conversation and therefore also pass through the Claude API (see above).

Please do not enter sensitive personal data into the chat.

This website uses no analytics or tracking services, no advertising cookies and no social media plugins. No personal data is collected for marketing purposes or passed on to third parties.

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. An informal message to the contact details above is enough.

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of personal data concerning you that is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). If you object, the data concerned will no longer be processed unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

An informal message to the contact details above is enough to object.
